Our beautiful story started in U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo.

We ran into each other several times in the cafeteria, at the dining area by the embassy pool, and in the elevator. We always looked for a chance to speak, but we made each other feel so nervous that we couldn’t find the words to reply! 

One day we were in an awards ceremony, and Karen was trying to find Chris, but she couldn’t find him. Then her friend Arantxa saw him coming and told her “There is your future husband.” 👀💍 Karen took this seriously and said “There goes my future husband, and I am not doing anything about it!” So, that same day, the 4th of August 2022, Karen looked for Chris online and she remembers that as soon as Chris saw the message she sent, he replied immediately 😍

Our beautiful and blessed love story began that day, and since that moment our love has grown and become stronger, and we are sure that, God willing, that is how it will be for the rest of our lives ❤
