We highly recommend checking out Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation! It's a great place to spend a day (or two!). Let us know if you have any questions about planning a day here, we'd love to help!
Corktown is Detroit's oldest neighborhood. Located on Michigan Ave. in Detroit, Corktown is full of shops and restaraunts that will leave you wanting to come back time and time again. It is also the location of Most Holy Trinity, our wedding ceremony location and the church I (Cecilia) grew up going to. Corktown creates memories that'll last a lifetime! We highly recommend a stroll!
Ok so here's the deal folks...this is the BEST coney place in Detroit! Two coney places, Lafyette's and American Coney Island are right next door to each other in Downtown Detroit. BUT, Lafyette's is way better. If you want a little bit of Detorit magic, go have a coney here!
Ok, so not everyone is into furniture stores. But, IKEA is more of an experience. We love to go there to eat -get the Swedish meatballs! - and to just walk around. Considering this store is so big, you could definately spend hours inside. While it isn't a typical sight-seeing attraction, it's still a really fun experience!
