It was Valentines Day of 2020, when I asked her to dinner in Morong, Bataan. But she had no idea that I already planned a surprise wedding proposal together with our family. The COVID-19 Pandemic was still ongoing at that time so I couldn't invite her friends because of some restrictions and the limited number of people allowed. The location was very secluded, and going there was not permitted without permission from SBFZ authorities and Rangers in the area. I was eager to do it there because of the serene beauty of the area, so I did everything to make it work, and I did. Lucky for me! I thought we couldn't get there before the sunset because of the long preparation she always does when going out. I had to blindfold her halfway to the area so she couldn't see the direction we were going. Then, we had to hike down and since it was a little bit rocky, it was a lot harder for us to walk because she was blindfolded. As soon as we reached the beach, a beautiful song from the speaker came on and it surprised her when she saw our family gathered together, along with the simple but beautiful setup that we made. We then walked down to the beach where the setup was and when the music suddenly died down, I looked at her and knelt down on one knee and I asked her "Will you marry me?" I still remember that I hadn't finished my sentence when she said "Yes" while crying to her surprise in that quite and beautiful sunset with our family watching us, crying and clapping and at the same time, excited for us to begin the new chapter of our life. And now! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you on our wedding day!
