Sometimes, the best things in life happen when you least expect them. For months, a mutual friend kept trying to set us up — but timing never seemed quite right. Then one day, fate (and Bumble) decided to step in. We matched, started talking, and from our very first date on January 9, 2021, everything just clicked. From that day on, we were inseparable. Looking back, it feels like the universe had been nudging us together all along. We lived barely a mile apart without realizing it- ACROSS the lake from each other! Chris once even went to a party that I just so happened to be working at a few days after we met. There were so many coincidences that it started to feel like this was meant to be. Our first trip together was to Vail, Colorado where I saw snow for the first time! We then headed over to meet some friends in Charlotte and went on a road trip through the Smoky Mountains and ended up in Nashville, where a surprise winter storm snowed us in and canceled our flights. Trapped in a hotel for days, we discovered something amazing: we simply couldn’t get enough of each other. That’s when we officially became a couple — and the start of the best adventure of our lives. Since then, we’ve traveled across the world — from chasing the Northern Lights in Norway, to introducing Chris to my family in Rio de Janeiro, ski trips (Chris has helped me step out of my comfort zone and be more adventurous lol ) to celebrating his 40th in Italy. And finally, in Machu Picchu, Peru —surrounded by breathtaking mountains, after a very intense hike — Chris asked me to marry him. Somewhere along the way, I also fell in love with his beautiful daughter, and being her stepmom became one of the greatest joys of my life. Every twist of fate, every near miss, and every adventure led us right here — to this moment, where we get to say forever. Cheers to forever :)
