Both with every intention to be single until their last year of college, Christopher and Allie enrolled in a Christian Life, Faith & Ministry class Spring of 2016. One typical morning of class, Allie walked up the front to grab something and in his own words, Christopher felt a "spark in his spirit." After trying to shake this "spark" and realizing that he could not get this mystery girl out of his head, he finally resolved to asking her for her number. Allie was caught off guard as she felt that they had barely interacted, but "allowed it" anyway. On their first date (where Allie's intention was to let him down easy), they ended up talking for 5 hours and finding true wonder in the other. After a couple more dates, the two parted ways for the summer where they wrote letters to one another and continued to grow in their friendship. Christopher flew out in August to ask her father's permission to date her, and on August 21st they were official. So it began.
On a sunny June afternoon, Christopher took Allie and her family to one of her favorite waterfalls, Multnomah falls in Oregon. As they approached the bridge close to the falls the misty breeze played with her hair. He took Allie's hand, and opened her favorite novel, Pride and Prejudice, where he had pasted pictures of their journey together from beginning to end amongst the pages. There, he told her their love story and then got down on one knee. In that beautiful moment, with the whole family watching, God displayed a rainbow there behind them as a promise. Allie (after getting the nod of approval from her sisters) screamed YES and (did not KISS cause hello--that is for the wedding day) but jumped into Christopher's arms. Her other half; her home.
