Where will the wedding be?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will both be located at our venue, The Legacy on Eighteen Mile Creek. It is in Hamburg, New York, which is about 25-30 minutes south of Buffalo. The address is 6653 Taylor Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075.

What Airport Should I Fly Into?
Answer
If you’re flying in, book a flight into the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The Hampton Inn in Hamburg (our hotel block with discounted room prices) will be about a 20-25 minute Uber ride from the airport.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn Buffalo-Hamburg and at La Quinta Inn and Suites in Lackawanna at discounted rates for our guests to book. Please see the Accommodations tab for more info, and please book your room as soon as possible to ensure you can get the discounted rates. There are also several AirBNBs available close to the venue if you prefer that type of accommodation. Just use "The Legacy on Eighteen Mile Creek" as your search location to view nearby options.

Are you having an American wedding or a Cameroonian wedding?
Answer
A bit of both! We are having an American wedding, similar to a Cameroonian White Wedding but with some differences in traditions and customs. We are also incorporating aspects of a Cameroonian Traditional Wedding into the reception as well, including food and dessert, decor, and attire. We hope our families and friends will enjoy both the familiar and the new touches of our wedding day!

Indoor or Outdoor Wedding?
Answer
The ceremony will be outside (weather-permitting) so please check the weather beforehand and bring a jacket if needed. The reception will be indoors, however there are beautiful outdoor spaces at The Legacy including a covered and heated patio, a fire pit and lawn games for anyone interested!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Formal attire or African Traditional attire- our own traditional attire will reflect styles from the Northwest of Cameroon, however our guests should feel free to wear styles from any region or country they wish! Please note that there will not be space or time in the schedule for our guests to change between formal and traditional attire, so please arrive at the ceremony in whichever attire you would like to wear for the night. Our immediate family will be in red and black, but there is no specific color palette for our guests. Come in whatever color combination feels right- as long as it's not white!

Can I bring my children or a date to the ceremony or reception?
Answer
In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, we have made sure to make out invitations to the specific names of our loved ones. We ask that you refer to your invitation for the names of the guests we have reserved seats for. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests at the reception or ceremony.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes, The Legacy has a large parking lot right at the venue. Parking won't be an issue!

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
Our RSVPs are now closed, as the wedding is getting close! If you RSVP'd that you will attend but are now unable, please reach out to either Christine or Smith to let us know so we can adjust.

Is There an Afterparty?
Answer
Yes! Immediately after the reception, head over to 1812 Tavern (5381 Abbott Road, Hamburg, 14075). Note, this is will NOT be a private event, but just an open spot for us to meet and keep the party going! Bring cash or a credit card if you would like anything from the bar while there. The kitchen will be open until 11pm and the cash bar is open until 1:30am.
