A short but aggressive hike. If you're up for it, hiking A Thousand Steps offers rewarding views and some regional history.
Visit Swarey's to view their selection of locally grown apples. A cabin staple, especially in the Fall. Enjoy a drive through Belleville, an Amish Community, while you are there.
Head to State College to check out Penn State's main campus. Grab some ice cream at the Penn State Creamery, walk around campus, and check out the many bars, restaurants and shops.
Many walking paths available here around the lake or for the more ambitious, the Stone Valley Vista via the Turkey and Standing Stone Trails offers a great view of the area.
Take in the view at Hawn's Overlook, grab a bike and hit the trails, or bring your fishing rod. There's plenty to do at PA's largest* lake! *entirely in PA
Relax and grab a beer at Shy Bear Brewing. If you are lucky, you may catch some live music!
