We met at San Diego Christian College when Micah was a student and Christine was a staff member in Admissions. We first became friends when we went to Thailand together on a missions trip, which became a special and life-changing place for both of us over the years. We also got to serve together in Mexico and learned that in addition to our love of people and desire to show Christ to others, we both loved hiking, coffee, camping, the beach and going on adventures. Over the years our friendship turned into a deep admiration of each other, which unbeknownst to Christine led Micah to pray for over a year about moving past friendship into a relationship. Micah asked Christine to start dating in July of 2016 after a lot of answered prayer, advice from their best friends and clear guidance from the Lord. Lots of beach talks, coffee shop dates, and road trips led to all-out love and respect for each other and a desire to serve and show the love of Christ to each other and others through the gift of marriage. Christine was amazed by the support, strength, encouragement and kindness that Micah showed her over and over again. Micah loved that Christine was strong and adventurous and desired to serve God and others. So, on August 17, 2017, Micah took Christine paddle boarding in Coronado and while looking across the water at the Hotel Del as the sun went down he proposed and Christine said yes!!
