IslandWood

4450 Blakely Ave NE
Bainbridge Island, 98110
 206-855-4300

We're so excited to be having our wedding weekend at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island. The property has four northwest-style lodges, each with many private guest rooms and a common great room. Lodging assignments will be made by the wedding party based on reserved rooms. Guest rooms have their own bathrooms and can sleep 2-6 people (additional charges apply after the second guest). Please use the following link to book lodging by September 10th: https://ball-johnson-wedding-islandwoodregistration.eventbrite.com . If you wish to extend your stay in the area beyond Friday and/or Saturday nights, there are plenty of options to choose from in Seattle.

Flight

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is the closest major airport and has plenty of options for domestic flights. Public transit options are available from the airport to downtown Seattle via Link light rail. Ride share options (Uber and Lyft) are also available, as is a rental car facility.

Travel Note

Bainbridge Ferry

Getting to IslandWood involves a quintessential PNW experience - riding a ferry! Ferries depart regularly from the Colman Dock in downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. You can drive, bike, or walk on to the ferry, and no reservations are needed. If driving, plan to arrive well in advance of your desired sailing time to secure a spot in line, and be prepared to wait. Walk- and bike-on passengers should arrive ~15 minutes before the scheduled sailing. From the airport, it's about a 20 minute drive to Colman dock or 45 minutes on public transit (35 minutes on the the light rail + a 10 minute walk). Once you land on Bainbridge Island, the venue is a short drive away.

Travel Note

Getting from the ferry to IslandWood

If you're driving or biking on to the ferry, you can head directly to IslandWood, which is about 3.5 miles down the road. There is plenty of parking available for both cars and bikes. For those planning to walk on to the ferry and are interested in transportation to the venue, please indicate this when you RSVP. We are planning to have a shuttle service on Friday evening and Sunday morning as taxi/Uber/Lyft are unreliable on the island.

For all the days along the way
