Question

Do I need to RSVP on the website?

Answer

No. Since this is a small and intimate wedding, we have already gathered RSVPs in advance. Should your plans change last minute, please let us know ASAP.

Question

Do I need to make a meal selection?

Answer

No. Both the rehearsal dinner and reception dinner are pre-set menus. We are not aware of any dietary restrictions, but please contact Christine if you have any.

Question

What should the men and women wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is "Vineyard Formal". Men of the immediate family are wearing black suits with a white shirt and tie (solid or patterned) to match their spouse. Women of the immediate family are wearing full length or midi length dresses (solid or patterned). Some of the themed colors you will see includes: merlot/wine, rich deep red, navy, dusty blue, eucalyptus green, and soft blush. Variations of these colors are welcomed too. We suggest footwear that is suitable to the vineyard terrain. At the vineyard, there is gravel, grass, and stone. Though most of the evening you will be on stone, we suggest you select footwear that will allow you to comfortably navigate the different terrain, or bring a second pair of shoes. (For the ladies, stilettos are not a great idea - think more along the lines of wedges, platforms, chunky heels.) If you have any questions about your attire, please don't hesitate to reach out to Christine!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony and reception will both be outdoors. The ceremony will be uncovered, and the reception will be under a covered pergola, with a couple of heaters for when it cools off at night.

What is mid-April weather typically like in Napa, CA?

Answer

In mid-April, it's typically mild, spring weather. Average temperatures during the day range from upper 60s to mid 70s, and cooler nights ranging from mid 40s to mid 50s. We suggest packing layers so you have options for actual temps.

Will there be transportation to and from Porter Family Vineyard?

Answer

For the wine tasting and tour welcome event on April 10th, transportation will not be provided. Most will have a rental car, and we ask that you please try to carpool. For the wedding ceremony & reception on April 11th, transportation will be provided there and back. Transportation pickup for the wedding will be at 3:45 pm from Meritage Resort. Transportation will depart Porter Family Vineyards at 9:30 pm and drop off at Meritage Resort.

Question

What transportation options do I have to get to and from downtown Napa?

Answer

Meritage offers complimentary shuttles to and from downtown 7 days/week, running hourly from 4:00–10:00 pm. The last departure from downtown is 10:30 pm. The shuttle is first come, first serve, and only accommodates 6 people. Uber/Lyft is available as well, however, it sometimes can be longer wait times. If driving your own rental car, we suggest looking up parking options before leaving to your destination.
