Roy has been a quiet thread connecting our families long before we ever knew it. When he was growing up in Rockport, he lived just down the street from Robert and Sondra Wirthwein and their girls- who we know as Aunt Robin, Aunt Rhonda, and (Mama) Renee. Years later, after Pastor Roy moved to Morgantown, he became Christine’s pastor and a huge part of her childhood from ages eight to fourteen. His guidance helped shape the grace, love, and spirit of service she strives to bring into the world each day. Somehow, like it’s meant to be... Through the years, moves, and life chapters, Pastor Roy will be the one marrying the little girl he once confirmed into the church to the grandson of his old neighbor. A full-circle blessing we never saw coming.
