If you're going to be in Durham, it's worth taking a trip down Tobacco Road to see the home of both prestigious basketball powerhouses. First stop, (the superior) Cameron Indoor Stadium of Duke University. This weekend will be especially exciting - trust us when we say that it's worth it to take the time to visit campus and see the students camping out in the famed Krzyzewskiville for basketball tickets.
After you've basked in the history and glory of Duke Basketball, take the eight(ish)-mile trip down Tobacco Road to visit the Dean Dome. If you consider yourself a college basketball fan in any capacity, visiting these two landmarks is a must.
If you'd like to see the largest collection of lemurs outside of Madagascar, take a trip to the Duke Lemur Center! We recommend calling ahead and making a reservation as tours fill up quickly.
While checking out K-ville and the rest of Duke's campus, you must stop and stroll through Duke Gardens. The beautiful 55-acre botanical garden offers gorgeous views and unique international plant life. (Fun fact: Christine's prom pics were taken here.)
Ready for a game of skeeball, pinball or Hot Shot? This barcade is full of fun games for all ages and within walking distance of the hotels. It also overlooks the original Durham Bulls baseball stadium (Bull Durham, anyone?).
