Like any true Herd couple, we met at the famous (or infamous) Union Pub & Grill while attending Marshall University, after our MOH, Jess Rooney, convinced Christine that she'd "think Jimmy was cute because he was tall." After a few months of each of us playing hard to get, we shared our first "I love yous" after some late night pizza on the porch of La Famiglia (the best Italian restaurant in West Virginia, owned by a family who treated Christine as their own). It didn't take us much longer to realize that what we had truly was "amore."

It was a rainy Monday evening, Jimmy had just gotten home from a work trip in Atlanta, and Christine had just gotten done with a "typical" Monday at work. Although Jimmy had other, more elaborate plans to propose in Boston that weekend, he had picked up the ring earlier that day and couldn't wait. He called Christine's dad and brother to ask for their permission to propose. Upon arriving home, Jimmy informed Christine that he had a present that was a "hint" to their upcoming trip that weekend. Left standing in the entry of our apartment, Christine waited as Jimmy came from the back room saying, "I can only give this to you under one stipulation, you can't go on this trip as my girlfriend and I never want to call you my girlfriend again..." and he got down on one knee. It was in our home, it was just us, and it was perfect. That weekend we celebrated with the Wenz crew and friends in Boston, and Jimmy even surprised Christine with a concert to see one of our favorite Irish artists, Dermot Kennedy, someone we thought we wouldn't see perform live for a very long time. All this to say - we are incredibly excited about the road this life has lead us down and where it continues to take us, and we are so ecstatic to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you!
