Wedding Party

Meet some of our closest family and friends who will walk us down the aisle!

Stephanie Phan

The Savvy Sister

Stephanie is the mother to Christine's favorite tiny human and her older sister by three years. Stephanie is an avid traveler and a lover of all things to do with the ocean including sailing. Christine and Stephanie love to cook bougie seafood family dinners at her house from time to time. Trust Stephanie to find the best and freshest uni shipments straight from Japan for uni tacos and the plumpest and most flavorable mussels for decadent saffron sauces to eat with crusty bread.

Nikhil Seth

Residency Roomie

Nikhil and Daniel met on their first day of residency in Pittsburgh. They each received last generation ipads and the two bonded over how the low resolution displays hurt their eyes. They moved in second year and together survived the harsh Pittsburgh winters with many a trip to Max Mex and delivery wings on Sundays.

Helen Hoveida

The Posh Persian

Helen and Christine share a love for luxury and started from the bottom now they’re there. (I'm dead) Still even now, they joke about the lunches they never take but shop outfits for because they're still hustling aka working normal jobs, not ladies who lunch. Helen is Christine's favorite shopping buddy and they love to convince each other to go to workout classes together just to cheat. Get that 10-I-mean-8 reps of burpees!

Alan Lee

The Taiwanese Tiger

Alan and Daniel were often confused for each other in Arizona by virtue of possessing the same height, weight, hair color and careers (both electrophysiologists starting within 1 week of each other). They worked closely together and soon became inseparable. Alan was always relied on to chat about everything from difficult cases to fast cars to best whiskey. Though they no longer work in the same hospital they still talk several a week about those same topics!

Anthony Le

The Hip and Happiest Host

Anthony and Christine met each other the first day of dental school and were inseparable through those four long years of hazing. Anthony was the only one who could tolerate studying in the loud racket in Starbucks like Christine could, so naturally that’s where they’d meet up. When they weren't studying for dental school, Anthony was always throwing the coolest social things, think Thanksgiving dinner any month of the year. Anthony has always been the host with the most (the widest and coolest selection of liquor in college) and still reigns as the host with the most these days (with his beer can chicken and best chili ever).

Mailan Nguyen

The Nguyen Twin

Mailan and Daniel were forced to take all their exams during medical school together by virtue of sharing the same last name. Fortunately they shared the same interest including Harry Potter, BLACKPINK, pho and a mutual kinship with each other. Daniel maintains that he could not have graduated med school without Mailan’s steady company and he is grateful to call her his BFF!

Christina Cambre

The Trustworthy Twin

Twin, you say? Christine became fast friends the second year of dental school when one day she sat next to Christina, both girls red eyed and puffy faced. They had broken up with their college boyfriends the same exact night! How crazy! But from then on, they would find so many similarities and go through some of the eerily same experiences. It's no wonder they are such close friends! Christine and Christina love the Gators, long chats, and a good hard laugh!

Elliot Sultanik

The Yiddish Yokester

Elliot first met Daniel at a bar in Baltimore, fitting because that is where they spent 90% of their time together. Daniel is grateful to have such a supportive friend as Elliot through the ups and downs of fellowship and of course to teach him Yiddish.
