Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Christine Cottrell and Rob Carthew

Mallory Powers

Maid of Honor

Mallory is not only one of Christine's best friend, but she also functions as the left side of her brain. This maid of honor has a heart of gold and throws a killer bachelorette party.

Jamison Miles

Bridesmaid

While Jamison likes to call Christine her sunshine, it's Jamison who brightens Christine's world. You can generally find this golden duo dying of laughter at a Boka establishment.

Colleen Laporte

Bridesmaid

An outsider might say these two are scary close, but Christine and Colleen prefer "sisters". Colleen acts as Christine's translator. In fact, she and Rob may be the only people on this planet that can decode Christine’s dialect.

Hannah Saunders

Bridesmaid

Hannah and Christine love nothing more than long deep soulful facetime chats, talking about "life's journey" and of course...Jackson Hole. Hannah has gone above and beyond wearing the hat of not only a bridesmaid but graphic designer and soon to be a musical performer at the ceremony. Words can't express our gratitude to her.

Dani Van Lopik

Bridesmaid

Dani and Christine bonded over DIY projects and smelling candles at TJ Maxx. They share a passion for deal hunting (especially when "It was only $12") and planning outfits 6 months in an advance (hello Charleston).

Kathryn Nott

Bridesmaid

Kathryn and Christine share a love for curating the perfect, picturesque charcuterie board and all things Club Monaco. You can find these two dancing queens getting “low, low, low” on the dance floor.

Liesl Cottrell

Bridesmaid

Liesl is the sister Christine had been dreaming of since she wrote her parents a persuasive essay in 3rd grade asking for a 4th kid. They enjoy sisterly things like: frequent long mundane phone convos (just ask Rob), fierce love and support and having a forever galentine.

Dan Carthew

Best Man

Though Dan and Rob have long since ditched the action figures and nerf footballs they played with as kids, the two brothers are as close as ever. Dan is one of the nicest, most honest people and best people you'll meet despite his questionable choices in sports teams.

Robby Richards

Groomsman

Robby and Rob met in Wisconsin but have been on adventures all over the world from New Zealand to Rome to Patagonia. While Robby continued his journey on to the San Diego sunshine it's just a matter of time before the two friends are across the globe again climbing a mountain or searching for a McDonalds to steal WiFi.

Asher Sassouness

Groomsman

Rob met Asher shortly after moving to Chicago and the two bonded almost immediately over a love of baseball, music and Buffalo Joes. The two spent that first summer watching the Cubs, quoting Chappelle show and driving around bumping Wu Tang Clan which remain three of Rob's favorite things to do.

Oliver Osinga

Groomsman

Rob and Oliver met the first day at work after which they reconvened at the Essen Haus, downed a boot of Paulaner and never looked back. Oliver has a quick wit and is always ready with a stock tip or to correct your grammar. Just don't challenge him to a dance off and expect to win.

Piet Walvoord

Groomsman

If you find a stranger holding a door open for you this weekend chances are it's Piet. A gentleman and a scholar, he and Rob met in high school and have kept their friendship strong over the years by frequenting music shows, steak dinners, impromptu trips to Milwaukee and the occasional late night at Carol's.

John Chickering

Groomsman

Rob met John at Halloween on State Street in Madison and in less than a year they were roommates and close friends. Over the years Call of Duty and Burrito Drive turned into weekend trips to New Orleans and Sonoma where Christine first met John and his now-wife Alicia for her birthday at a picturesque AirBnb villa in the hills.

James Carthew

Groomsman

James is the youngest of the three brothers and at eleven years the elder Rob felt an extra sense of responsibility to protect his littlest sibling growing up. Now that James has grown up to be the tallest of the three he no longer needs protecting but he'll always be Rob's kid brother.

Aaron Herzog

Officiant

Don’t be fooled by the dual full-sleeve tattoos or the biceps as big as your leg, underneath the heavy metal exterior is a guy with a heart of gold. We sometimes refer to Aaron as “the mayor” because he’s always making sure others are having a good time and being taken care of. Christine and Rob have enjoyed more double-dates, hang-outs and vacations with Aaron and his wife Mallory that we lost count at a billion. We are over the moon that such a good friend will be marrying us.

Cillian Cottrell

Ring Bearer

Cillian is the second boy to steal Christine’s heart. He made her aunt and it’s one of her favorite jobs ever. As for Rob, Cillian describes their relationship best, “Robs going from my friend to Uncle Rob.” Cillian thinks Rob walks on water.

Teague Cottrell

Ring Bearer

Teaguie-saurous Rex has his aunt quite literally eating out of the palm of his hand. While he may disagree with the title, he’ll always be her baby. And no one makes Teague laugh quite like “Uncle Wobbb.”
