Morning Shuttle from Goodwin Hotel to the Wedding

In the morning, the shuttle will arrive at the Goodwin Hotel at 10:30AM and wait until 11:00AM for passengers. It will leave at 11AM sharp for the wedding ceremony! There will be return shuttles as well!

Afternoon Shuttle from Pond House to the Goodwin Hotel

For those staying at the Goodwin, there is a return shuttle from the Pond House to the Goodwin hotel at: 3:15PM, 4:00PM, and 5:00PM! The last shuttle is the 5:00PM shuttle!

This is where we will be staying and where we will have the after party too! It is also very close to the ceremony and reception site. We have a block of rooms at discounted rates -- Deluxe King ($149 plus tax), Double Queen bedrooms ($179 plus tax), and Studio Kings ($189 plus tax). To reserve, please call the reservation desk at 860-246-1881 and reference the “Lee-Sherwood Wedding” by September 20 at the latest to receive these discounted rates. Hilton Hartford

If the Goodwin Hotel is sold out, we recommend staying at the Hilton Hartford, which is a short 5 minute walk away from the Goodwin!

Hartford Marriott Downtown

If the Goodwin AND the Hilton Hartford is sold out, we recommend staying at the Hartford Marriott Downtown, which is roughly 10 minute walk away from the Goodwin!

Rental Car

Road Travel

If you are driving to Hartford, the trip is approximately 2.5-3 hours from New York City and 2-2.5 hours from Boston. If you are driving and planning to drink at our wedding, we would strongly recommend that you book a room at the Goodwin, where we are staying!

Train

Hartford Union Station

Hartford is approximately three hours from New York City by train. Amtrak's Hartford Union Station is located right by the Goodwin Hotel. Pro tips: Buy your Amtrak ticket from New York's Penn Station to Hartford far in advance to get a good rate. If you've procrastinated until the last minute and still want to save some money, take a Metro North train from Grand Central to New Haven and then an Amtrak train from New Haven to Hartford. Note, both Amtrak and Metro North stop briefly in New Haven for transfer.

Flight

Bradley International Airport

If you are flying in for the wedding, we would recommend using Bradley International Airport, which fittingly has the motto "Love the Journey"! The airport is located 30 minutes from the hotel and wedding venue, whereas BOS, LGA, JFK, and EWR are all about 2.5-3 hours away from Hartford. All major domestic airlines as well as Aer Lingus and Air Canada serve Bradley International Airport.
