Chaeji

Maid of Honor

Golly, where to begin! I apparently met Chaeji in front of some lockers in the cold, damp halls of Issaquah Middle School, and as you can tell, it is an encounter I do not recall. All I know is that once I met Chaej, my life was never the same. She has played many roles in my life, including #1 JV tennis partner, college roommate, and dance partner. Most notable, however, is that of lifelong friend. I may not remember when we first met, but I most certainly can’t imagine my life without her.

Pat

Best Man

Patrick has gone by many names, be it his alternate Internet presence "Jasper," army grunt "G.I Doe," or more formally "Mr. Lee," but when I first met him in 4th Grade, I simply knew him as "Pat." They say your relationship with someone is permanently trapped at the age in which you met them, and in the best way possible, Pat has remained himself in our friendship from our fated meeting onward.

Stephanie

Bridesmaid

I've known Stephanie since my days playing piano (so a very, very long time ago) where I considered her a comrade in that cutthroat world of musical competition among elementary-aged kids. Our friendship blossomed in college, where we found ourselves once again in a cutthroat environment known as General Chemistry. Since then, I've come to know Stephanie as the most thoughtful, caring, and understanding person to whom I attribute much of my personal growth. I even started wearing sunscreen with her help! A great feat indeed.

Matt

Groomsman

Matt is my older brother, and proud five-year-and-one-quarter-long Western Washington graduate. He also owns a rescue cat named "Lily."

Chloe

Bridesmaid

I met Chloe my freshman year of college through Asian American InterVarsity, a Christian fellowship I hold much fondness for. Chloe is the master of intentionality, gifted in reaching out to others and making sure they know they are loved. In addition, she is the only person I know who rivals me in my deep love for McDonalds fries. Also, she stars in a podcast called "Calling it a Day" with her sister Cleo, where they talk about their sibling adventures. Give it a listen!

Jacob

Groomsman

Jacob is my younger brother and resident goofball, self-described "cool-guy," and occasional armchair philosopher. If you see him, give him a friendly "hello!"

Hannah

Bridesmaid

I first met Hannah's acquaintance as her bible study small group member, when she bravely took on the task of leading an unruly bunch of freshmen. From that point on, Hannah has been my friend, sister, and mentor, always leading by example of what it means to serve and love others. A fun fact about Hannah: you'd think a person with such a gift to care for others has at least one younger sibling, but she is in fact the youngest in her family by a mile!

Brad

Groomsman

Standing approximately 5'10, weighing somewhere in the neighborhood of 180lbs, and made of chiseled 0% body-fat, you'd be surprised to hear that Brad (sometimes affectionately known as "Bard") is both my equal and true competition. What I mean is that he and I both have exactly `1 win in our fantasy league, and Brad never fails to captain his team all the way to the champion(ship). He's also one of my oldest friends and was both rhythm and lead guitar in our short lived band (band name omitted), so there's that.

Ruth

Bridesmaid

My most vivid memory of Ruth is from high school, where a group of approximately 40 gals were posed to take a post-swim meet picture for the yearbook. With the pictures snapped, a girl dripping with chlorinated water came running, to the dismay of the crowd. This girl turned out to be Ruth - one of the sweetest and most compassionate people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I can always count on Ruth to offer wisdom and thoughts about coffee!

Khalil

Groomsman

I have called Khalil many things in my life-- "Khalol" as he would have it, "The Baseball Kid" (and not for his athletic prowess), "Dad" also as he would have it, and my college roommate for two years--but most of all, he has been my friend for just shy of a decade. He possesses what I consider a constant positive energy, a rare quality counter-balanced by him being a real physical hazard on the ski slopes. With a beard, he can increase his assumed age by about 5 years, but Khalil has a childlike silliness that brings out true joy disguised as laughter--something I am blessed to have experienced myself.
