FAQs

Question

Camp Holiday Trails? What's that?!

Answer

CHT is a non-profit camp that provides a safe and positive camp experience for children and teens with medical needs. We are thrilled that by renting this venue, we are helping support their mission! Learn more and consider donating at campholidaytrails.org!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

For Friday night, dress casually! (In the literal sense of "casual", not in the wedding dress code sense.) We actually mean it. Jeans, hoodies, flannels, etc. For the ceremony and reception, think anywhere from dressy casual to cocktail attire. Ties and jackets are optional. We know that some people really enjoy an excuse to dress up, and we don't want to cramp your style, but just remember that you'll be at a summer camp. You'll be walking on uneven terrain, so stilettos probably aren't wise unless you are very skilled.

Question

I'm staying in a cabin on site. Do I need to bring my own linens?

Answer

Yes! The bunks will not have linens or pillows. However, if you are flying in, just let us know if you want help with this. We'll connect you with a Richmond pal who can bring extra. The cabins have heat, so no need to bring your warmest sleeping bag.

Question

If I'm staying on site, when can I arrive?

Answer

The camp hosts a forest school, which runs until 3pm on weekdays. Please arrive anytime after 3:30pm on Friday.

Question

What else should I know about staying on site?

Answer

The cabins are simple, but not exactly "rustic"... there's electricity and heat/AC. Each cabin has a bathroom, so you won't need to trek across camp with your shower caddy to bathe! Woohoo! That being said, you may need to share your bathroom with a pal who's tenting. Just a heads up, you'll likely find kid stuff laying around from the forest school.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Alas, you may not. The camp makes exceptions for pets that are part of the ceremony, so you might see Piper (TBD), but I guess they don't really want their campers stepping in dog doo. Fair enough.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love all of your children, we want to keep this as a kid-free weekend for you all to be able to celebrate with us! We can't wait to celebrate with your kids another time!

Question

I'm Staying On Site- and I have no information/details- WHAT DO I DO?!?!

Answer

Christina sent out an email on 9/18 with details for those staying on site. If you did not receive that email- shoot her an email at csaunders1989@gmail.com.
