It's hard to believe we met over eighteen years ago. Freshman year of high school at Spanish Springs; the exact day is lost to time but the event will always be remembered: JROTC Dining In. We met in line in our goofy uniforms, there was light small talk, and then off to our tables we went to enjoy the event. Little did we know that moment would cement our future in each others lives. Over course of our time in high school, we became really good friends and by our senior year, we ended up going to Military Ball together. We went to community college together at Truckee Meadows, and between making our schedules a little more in sync, spending more time together outside of classes, to starting to go on dates, we realized there might be more between us than just our friendship (well Christena realized there was more than friendship whereas Kevin always knew she was the one since high school). Of course life had other plans for us after community college, but the constant was that no matter what, we found time for each other and were there for one another despite the distance life put between us.
