We met while attending Emmett O'Brien Technical High School, and while we had become great friends through Christina being a cheerleader and Joey being the mascot for 3 years, it took one text consisting of "How are you doing?" that changed our story. On Saturday, June 21, 2014, Joey came over to meet Christina's parents, embarrassed himself within 1 minute of meeting her mom, but still proceeded to ask Mr. Victoria if he could date his daughter. The rest is history from that moment and we started our relationship and creating amazing memories together.

The day of the proposal, Joey had convinced Christina that they were going to meet his Aunt for lunch but wanted to stop at a music store in Seymour to check "something out." Christina knew a proposal was in the works but not this close and was convinced by her sisters it would be another day. Upon parking in the Strand Theater parking lot, Joey was able to convince Christina to check something on her phone, and as they turned the corner Christina looked up and saw on the Marquee, "Christina Will You Marry Me?." In complete shock and awe she started crying in disbelief as Joey got down on one knee. And of course she said yes! They were congratulated by two close friends and one of Christinas sisters who were there to record and capture the moment. They then went inside to enjoy the moment together as an engaged couple and watch Christinas favorite movie together. It was a beautiful day and an unforgettable moment for the both of them.
