Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 2nd on the RSVP tab in the menu above. We really hope you can make it, and we so appreciate all the time and effort you and your family are making to celebrate with us!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! Evening gowns and dark suits or tuxes would be preferable, but we hope you have fun with any spring and garden colors in your gowns and accessories! Bridesmaids will be wearing pale yellow. The rehearsal dinner will be coastal cocktail (think sport coats and linens), and the brunch will be casual.

Question

Any other special attire notes we should know?

Answer

Temperatures are likely to dip a bit at night on the island. Since both cocktail hour and the reception will be outside, you may want to bring a wrap. However, there will also be ample heaters to keep guests warm within the tented reception.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the limited space of Lambert's Cove Inn, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for your understanding and please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to the limited space of Lambert's Cove Inn, invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to any event, please RSVP "not attending." If you cannot make it after you RSVP'd, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30PM. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat. Guests who arrive after 2:20 PM will be asked to wait by the reception area until the ceremony has concluded.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

We highly recommend to please use the provided for transportation, as parking can be tricky in Edgartown, particularly at the location of the ceremony. If you are planning to drive to the ceremony, there is no on-site parking. Street parking can be found by and around the Old Whaling Church. Please allot enough time ahead of the ceremony to find parking. On-site parking is available at Lambert's Cove Inn for all other events.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will be provided after our ceremony at the Old Whaling Church to our reception at Lambert's Cove Inn for all guests. The easiest way to get to the ceremony and leaving from the reception is through Uber and taxis. If you book through our hotel block, transportation will be provided between all events.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please e-mail us at christina.john2025@gmail.com if you have any dietary restrictions. We are happy to make any accommodations!

Question

When should we book our ferry reservations?

Answer

Car reservations are available beginning on February 4. Rental cars can also be reserved. If traveling without a car, you can reserve closer to the wedding weekend.

Question

When should we book our flights?

Answer

There are several hubs that fly directly to Martha’s Vineyard. We recommend booking flights in March and April for best options. For more cost-effective options, especially if traveling outside of the New England area, we recommend traveling first to Boston or Providence and taking the ferry options provided under our Transportation page.
