The Wedding Website of Christina Goodwin and Jay Bothwell

All of the wedding festivities will take place on the grounds of the Martin Manor at the Creative Campus (the former Goddard College campus) in Plainfield, Vermont. https://www.thecreativecampus.org/martin-manor 123 Pitkin Road; Plainfield, VT 05667 The Creative Campus is a new endeavor, and it doesn't appear that Google has yet found its website. https://www.thecreativecampus.org/ The "official event" will begin at 3:00 with the ceremony and end around 8:30 pm. We encourage you to gather at 2:00 to get settled, walk the grounds, and visit. Bar service will begin after the ceremony and end at about 8:30 pm. Guests staying on campus, stay safe to drive, or with a designated driver, are welcome to attend the after-party with DJ Hi-D. We will have a variety of Devils Backbone beers and canned cocktails, as well as a cooler of non-alcoholic beverages.

Dorm Check-In

If you want to come the night before and book a dorm room, you can check in as early as 3:00 p.m. After the rehearsal dinner (for the wedding party only), you are welcome to help us set up and decorate.

Decorating and Set Up

If you book a dorm room on campus and want to help with set up and decorating, you are welcome to join us (but zero pressure). Also during this time, it sounds like the bar on site will be open for drinks and casual pub fare as one dinner option for folks staying on campus.

Gather with our friends and family in the garden between 2:00 and 2:30 and get settled in. Rain location will be inside Martin Manor.

Our Ceremony

If the weather is agreeable, the ceremony will be outside. Please dress for the season and wear shoes appropriate for lawn and uneven ground. The ceremony will begin at 3:00 on Saturday, so please gather before then at the Gathering Reception.

Appetizers and drinks! Photos! Lawn games! If you have booked a dorm room on campus for the night, you can also use this time to check into your dorm room.

Dinner

5:00 pm

Farm to Table, Vermont goodness! The meal will be family-style so that you can pick and choose from a variety of dishes.

The Deviators

6:30 pm

After Party with DJ Hi-D

8:30 pm

All your favorite smash-up hits in the Martin Manor (the wedding venue), thanks to DJ Hi-D (also known as Heidi Myers, Christina's dear friend). Heidi has a gift for masterminding events and soundtracks that get everyone psyched to be alive. Live in joy! Check the Music page for a preview.

Farewell Breakfast

9:00 am - 11:00 am

For folks staying on campus, we will be hosting some sort of breakfast farewell opportunity for hugs, coffee, and nourishment. Coffee will be available in the dining hall (same location as the brunch) starting at 8. For even earlier risers, there are Kuerig stations in the dorm.

Dorm Check-Out

12:00 pm

If you book a dorm room and stay on campus with us on Saturday night, check-out from the dorm rooms is 12:00 p.m.
