Legacy West and The Shops at Legacy East run parallel on opposite sides of the Dallas North Tollway, offering guests a vibrant destination for shopping, dining, and leisurely walks. These areas feature a mix of upscale stores, restaurants, and outdoor spaces, making them perfect spots to explore, enjoy a meal or drinks, and get in some steps while visiting the area. For a caffeine boost, our go-to coffee shop is LalaLand at The Shops at Legacy East—don’t be afraid of the line, it moves quickly! There is also a Starbucks nearby for convenience.
Located just across the tollway, Grandscape is a vibrant destination featuring shopping, dining, walking paths, games, and entertainment. It is home to SCHEELS, a one-of-a-kind experience offering far more than sporting goods, as well as Nebraska Furniture Mart, known for furniture, gift shops, and something for every member of the family.
A must-visit for authentic Texas barbecue. Guests are encouraged to order to-go inside, which allows you to enjoy the food more quickly, as dining in typically involves a longer wait to order.
Home of the Dallas Cowboys, The Star is a must-see destination even for guests who are not football or sports fans. The area features excellent walking paths, shopping, and dining, along with popular nightlife options such as Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar, known for its lively atmosphere and classic hits. Guests may reserve a table in advance or arrive early to enjoy standing room, with seating available as it opens.
Stonebriar Centre is our favorite indoor shopping mall in North Texas. While it may appear traditional from the outside, the interior offers a unique experience with three levels of shopping, a movie theater on the top floor that remains open even after mall hours, and a diverse food court with options for everyone. It is a great place for last-minute shopping, and you may even run into us while we are in town preparing for the wedding. Directly across Gaylord Parkway is an additional shopping center featuring a large Target and more retail options.
The Frisco Rail District and Frisco Square are where we currently live and offer a lively mix of shopping, dining, and walkable spaces. The area is home to Toyota Stadium, a new local brewery, Rollertown Beerworks, along with food trucks and casual gathering spots such as Frisco Truck Yard, which features live music and drinks. Frisco Square also includes Pizzeria Testa, an authentic pizzeria, and a nearby movie theater. For a true Texas experience, H-E-B is located just across the tollway and even includes an in-store barbecue restaurant with drive-through service.
