What is typical August weather?

Answer

August in Jackson Hole, WY features warm, sunny days and chilly nights, with average highs around 80F and lows in the 40sF. While largely dry, August can bring afternoon thunderstorms. Guests should pack layers, as temperatures fluctuate significantly, and mountain weather can change rapidly.

Will there be a backup plan for weather?

Answer

We are planning on having an outdoor event, so inclement weather may occur. In case of rain, please pack an umbrella or rain gear to be prepared.

Are restrooms readily accessible?

Answer

Restrooms are not located at the ceremony site, so plan to go before you go! However, there are multiple pull offs on the road to the site that have restrooms.

Is there cell service in the park?

Answer

Cell service can be very limited or unavailable in certain areas. We recommend downloading maps ahead of time and taking screenshots of important information. There are many maps available through the National Forest site or Avenza Maps that are free to download. You can also download Google or Apple Maps regions of the area to have easily accessible driving directions. What about wildlife?

Answer

Grand Teton is home to incredible wildlife, including moose, elk, and bears. Please keep a safe distance from all animals and follow park guidelines. Do not approach or feed wildlife.
