Aaron and Christina's story began in 2019, when their lives converged at The Running Room in Woodbury, Minnesota, where Christina was employed. On the evening of May 13, 2019, Christina found herself managing the store alone. That was when Aaron, finally took the chance he had been waiting for. He had frequented the shop numerous times, each visit carefully planned to find Christina unoccupied. On that memorable night, his persistence paid off as he mustered the courage to ask her out. Their first date unfolded at The Tamarack Tap Room, where they spent hours chatting over wings and drinks, feeling as if they had known each other forever. As they continued to share experiences, their mutual love for running led them to Willow River State Park for their inaugural running date, where they bonded over their shared passion for the sport. From that point onward, Aaron and Christina trained for and participated in numerous races together. They became each other's biggest supporters, encouraging one another through every challenge and victory. Their weekends were often dedicated to training for races, uncovering new running trails, and pushing each other’s limits side by side. With every mile they traversed, their bond grew stronger, and they delighted in the simplest moments shared during their weekend coffee dates, running and late night pb and j’s. As their relationship flourished, Aaron and Christina began to weave their lives together in other meaningful ways. They welcomed two energetic cattle dogs, Willow and Meeko, into their family and purchased a townhouse, which they have been lovingly renovating together over the years. In 2025, during a romantic night run that Aaron had planned to celebrate their six-year anniversary, he surprised Christina with a heartfelt proposal. He had enlisted his best friend Ryan and his fiancée Hailey to scatter candles around their favorite spot on the trail. When they approached the surprise, Christina was taken aback! Aaron knelt down on one knee, and without hesitation, Christina said yes!
