French Quarter

French Quarter

The most iconic district in the city featuring the classic wrought iron balconys, colorful shutters, and horse drawn carriages. It is a very walkable area. We highly recommend exploring the following: - Royal Street: beautiful antique shops and art galleries - Jackson Square: grab some Beignets at Cafe du Monde and eat them on their patio or walk up the steps to the Mississippi River overlook. Go across the street to catch a street performance in front of St. Louis Cathedral - Decatur Street: grab a famous Muffuletta sandwich at the Central Grocery, then explore the French Market. We also highly recommend the Louisiana Pizza Kitchen. - New Orleans Jazz Museum - Walking Tours

Frenchmen Street

Frenchmen Street

Frenchmen Street,

Between the French Quarter and Marginy districts lies Frenchmen Street, a lively area known for dixieland jazz performances that NO's known for. Follow the sound to various bars and restaurants and you're bound to have a great time!

Bourbon Street

Bourbon Street

Bourbon Street: You have to experience it at least once in your life! We recommend the following bars & drinks. We also recommend going in a group and avoiding the "shot girls" & other scammers... - Laffite's Blacksmith Shop: legend to be the oldest operating bar in America, they have a live pianist in the back room that is always a blast. We love their "Hurricane" drinks. - Old Absinthe House: dating back to 1800's, this cocktail bar is classic New Orleans and is steeped in history. We love their "Pims Cup" and "Sazarac". - Pat O'Briens: A classic. They're known for their "Hurricanes", we also recommend their "57 Chevy". They also have great eats and offer a variety of seating venues. - Tropcial Isle: a Bourbon Street novelty like no other. Try their "Shark Attack" for an all immersive experience...literally. - Cat's Meow: karaoke & a balcony for people watching!

We also recommend the famed Audubon Zoo as well as the expansive shopping and restaurant scene along Magazine Street.

City Park

City Park

City Park is absolutely beautiful and offers so much to do! The park is home to an intricate sculpture garden, paddleboating, expansive trails amongst massive southern oaks, miniature golf, amusement park, and bike rentals. The park is also home to The New Orleans Museum of Art.

Outside of the City

Outside of the City

Within 30 minutes to an hour of the city, you can enjoy the lush countryside of southeastern Louisiana. There are many things to do including but not limited to kayak & airboat swamp tours, wildlife sanctuaries, historic sites such as Chalmette Battlefield, and plantations (we recommend Oak Alley, Whitney, and Houmas House). Steamboats such as the Creole Queen and Natchez offer river casino experiences along with jazz brunches and opportunities to go on plantation and historical site tours off of the Mississippi River as well.
