We met 7 years ago in a high school journalism class, where we instantly became good friends, all credit to Mrs. Yarbrough! We had several more classes together, grew to really liking each other and even attended senior prom together. After graduation, we went our separate ways to different universities. We reconnected after running into each other at a Buccees gas station just outside of Dallas in February 2018. Serious dating began in spring of our junior year of college, once we finally admitted to one another that it wasn't just friendship between us, it had always been love and life apart pretending it wasn't just wasn't right anymore. Between graduating at different times and spending a bit of time long distance, it has been quite an adventure! But being each other's best friend whom we share such a deep love with makes it the best adventure that we are ready to continue for life as Mr. and Mrs. Chapman!

Mason proposed on February 13th, 2021, in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, beside beautifully frozen Brandywine Falls after a fun day of skiing together. The trail was closed this day due to ice, and the temperature below freezing, but that didn't stop us. We cautiously climbed down the trail anyhow. Mason knew I would be taking pictures of the falls as soon as I could. When she was done taking a few snapshots, I turned around, and there he was down on one knee, asking me to be together forever. That was the easiest YES! of my entire life. We both cried. It was so so sweet, just the two of us soaking in that moment amidst the snow.

Christina- I will graduate in December 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN-RN) from The University of Texas at Tyler. Once settled in New Orleans, I'm planning to work in critical care. I'm a cat mom to two, Charlie and Willie Nelson! When I'm not studying or at clinicals (rare), I enjoy baking (especially cheesecakes), doing any activity outside that involves water and sunshine, bartending at craft brewery "ETX Brewing Co." in Tyler, being politically involved, and taking road trips. Mason- I graduated from LeTourneau University with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May 2020. I currently work with Lincoln Electric as a Technical Sales Representative and Certified Welding Inspector in the New Orleans territory. I played rugby in college and have recently taken up competitive rowing. My other hobbies include scuba diving, golf, brewing craft beer, traveling, and metalworking. I am also an Eagle Scout. Together- we enjoy baking, eating BBQ, kayaking, hiking & camping, long walks, trips to the beach, exploring craft breweries, traveling (7 states down, the whole world to go!), skiing, and overall just having fun doing anything or absolutely nothing together. We are looking forward to becoming DOG parents once we get settled after the wedding.
