We met at Bayport Scout Reservation in 2012. We both started out at the NightHawk program area as a camp counselor and counselor in training. The first memory Christina has of Forrest was during staff training week. We were asked to demonstrate knots and lashings. Christina beat Forrest is tying them faster, than ragged on him that as a new Eagle Scout he should have beat someone who has just learned how to do them. For the rest of the summer the sarcastic comments continue. We continued our friendship and hanging out during scouting events and Odyssey of the Mind events. In the late summer of 2013, we went on one putt-putt date with Alyssa(maid of honor) and her now Fiancé, Scott. After that day, we decided to stay friends because we lived over an hour from each other. We continued being friends and seeing each other at scouting events. November 2015, Christina came to visit on her way home for Thanksgiving break, that's when we started dating. After moving around and changing jobs, we have settled in Chesapeake. December of 2023, he ask his Grandfather for Forrest's Grandmother's ring. January of 2024, Forrest popped the question! Fun Fact: We realized we were at Odyssey of the Mind World Competition at the University of Maryland May of 2012, one month PRIOR to us meeting!! We sat in the same section of the stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies.
