Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP via the wedding website, by March 22nd, 2024.

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

60 Ostrander Rd, Ghent, NY 12075 The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held on the same property.

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

The easiest way to get to the wedding venue would be through the shuttles provided with the wedding block. For those staying closer to the venue, the safest way to travel would be via Uber or Lyft. For those taking public transportation, it is best to leave from NYC's Grand Central Station where you would then take a 2-hour train ride to Hudson, NY. From there, you will be an 8-minute Uber/Lyft ride from the venue.

Question

Is there parking available at your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be signs directing those where to park on the venue grounds.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors, cocktail hour will be under a tent, and the reception will be held inside. We STRONGLY recommend to not wear stiletto heels as you will be walking across grass or wood chips.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes, blocks can be booked through the wedding website or online through the Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Coxsackie, an IHG Hotel website.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel?

Answer

Yes, there will be three shuttles from the hotel and three shuttles back. Shuttles will not be provided in between wedding services.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

This event is Cocktail Attire/Semi-Formal. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside in grass, gravel, and in a wooded area so please rethink stilettos. Remember, it's a Spring wedding so think pastel colors! Cocktail Attire - We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a knee- maxi knee-length dress or dressy separates. OR Semi-Formal - We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men. Please note that the venue does not permit blue jeans. Example: Women: Sundresses and flats or wedge heels for the outdoor ceremony in the wooded area, followed by cocktail hour on the grass. Men: Light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional. What NOT to wear: A white dress/jumpsuit/pantsuit, in any solid or patterned attire.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While we love your children, this wedding is strictly for 18+.

Question

Will there be meal options for guests followed by dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Yes. You cannot complete your RSVP without providing your meal option, dietary restrictions, and allergies. Once your meal is selected, you will be unable to go back in and edit.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! But please tip your bartender!

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

For those bringing cards, there will be a card box at the venue. For those picking something from the registry, all gifts will be directly sent to our home address.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

You can arrive to the venue property as early as 3:30pm where you will be greeted by water, iced tea, lemonade, and champagne. You will then be directed to the wooded area, where you will be seated for the ceremony.

Question

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The reception will end at 10:00pm. Then the after party will begin and end at 11:00pm. Due to noise restrictions, we cannot be on the property after 11:30pm.

Question

Will there be an open bar at the after-party?

Answer

All vendor services will come to an end at 10:00pm (food, beverage, dj, photobooth, photography). For those attending the after-party, alcohol will be self served.

Question

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

No, the cocktail hour will begin immediately after the ceremony, which will lead into the reception.

Question

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?

Answer

We sure can! Be sure to click on the "Places to Eat" tab above when visiting our wedding website. There you will find a list of cafe's, restaurants, and alcoholic beverage options!

Question

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

Answer

For those arriving Friday, please join us for our welcome party from 6:00pm-9:00pm. For those staying within the wedding block, be sure to join us for the farewell brunch in the hotel common area.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be an unplugged wedding ceremony. We ask that you do not take out your phone during the wedding ceremony as our wonderful photographers will be capturing all the images. A basket will be provided at the end of each aisle where your phones will be kept safe and in view. For those who wish not to put their phones in a basket, that it ok too! However, we know grabbing your phone can be instinctual, so the officiant will also make an announcement reminding those to keep cellphones out of reach.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your reception?

Answer

Absolutely! Click away during cocktail hour and reception! There will be a QR code provided on each table, we ask you use that to upload any and all content you've taken during the wedding and be sure to share it with us so we can capture every moment and see it from your point of view!

Answer

You sure can! Be sure to tag the Bride in every picture/story! Wedding hashtag: #happilyeverhorowitz
