We met how many people our generation meet these days, on a dating app! Christie was getting ready to head into her shift and swiped right on Will. A pop up with confetti and big letters showed “It’s a match”. After 5-minutes Christie grew impatient and messaged Will first. Five days later, they had their first date. After a night of constant laughter, they wanted to spend more time together, so they did. They were smitten for one another. Finishing each others sentences, laughing at the others bad jokes, bringing one another up when feeling down. They fell head over heels in love early into their relationship and have been inseparable since.

Christie and Will had a tripped planned for months to go to Cape May, New Jersey for Labor Day weekend. As the day approached, Christie was excited for the weekend ahead and spoke to her Mom about the fun weekend plans. While on the phone with her Mom she didn’t notice Will pacing back and forth in the kitchen anxiously waiting for the two to hang up! For weeks, Will had this plan to propose on the first night in Cape May at a fancy dinner, right in the middle of the restaurant. But he also knew she would cry uncontrollably at the table once it happened. So instead he pivoted his plan and did it the night before their trip. Once she hung up the phone, he approached her in the bedroom and said how much he loved her and can’t wait to get married on our 10-year anniversary. In that quick moment, before she could even open her mouth, Will got down on one knee and asked Christie if she would want to spend the rest of their lives together. Turns out, Will was right…Christie sobbed uncontrollably, spun around in a circle, and knelt down on the floor next to him with a sobbing YES!
