This is where we went on our 1st date, and EVERY anniversary and where the proposal took place.
Where Oliver and Christie went right after he popped the question! Hilarity ensued.
AMAZING food! We went here early in our relationship and try to go back once a year. They also have an awesome brunch w/ bottomless drink options.
This is one of Oliver and Christie's go-to Sunday Funday bars. It's just a happy coincidence that the owner is from Wisconsin and that the menu has cheese curds. The real draw here though is the burgers. Best in the city. You won't be disappointed.
New York's hottest food hall has everything you want from Jamaican Jerk Chicken to Pierogis.
Everyone knows the BEST place in NYC for good barbecue where the meats are smoked slow and low is at 555 Clinton. However, 555 Clinton will be closed to visitors that week, so we recommend the second best place for good barbecue, and that's Hometown!
If you’re ordinary and you love seizure-inducing Malaysian music, I have just the place for you. New York’s hottest club is “Stand Clear of the Closing Doors, Please.” Built in the Upside-Down World, this haunted hospice was closed when inspectors found a sexy form of asbestos that could cause disease: Me-so-horny-oma. This place has everything: young popes, old popes, Roman J. Israel, Esquire. Avoid the dance floor on Wednesdays, when a dozen hot dachshunds and corgis get in free. They call it Long and Low Night. I don’t trust any dog whose stomach touches the ground. Plus, you can party in the V.I.P. room with a group of human squatty potties. It’s that thing of—you know what, it’s a new era, and I don’t want to say a word that could be insensitive. Could I consult my lawyer quickly? He’s an attorney and a conceptual piss artist named Shy.
If it wasn't for Oliver, Christie would never have visited this restaurant despite living just a few blocks away from her UES apartment. The menu is straight fire.
Get a slice and a chicken roll. Thank us later.
You know you crave it....
Need a good hangover brunch spot? This is for you!
Located a few blocks from Christie's office, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan. Reservations are highly recommended and they are open for dinner only. While the plates are small, they are filling, so be ready to eat!
All you cheeseheads from Wisconsin, you'll find your people here!
Fantastic cocktails!
Another favorite brunch spot with amazing fried chicken!
Great place for dim sum to go. Order with confidence and remember, their English is still way better than your Mandarin.
Come get some dim sum here. No reservations taken and don't let the crowded lobby intimidate you, the wait is worth it and not that long.
Amazing fish tacos. One of Oliver's go-to places when he was in grad school.
I mean what the name says. What more can you ask for?
Another great craft cocktail joint with a fun roaring 20s decor.
Drinking and arcade games that isn't Dave and Busters (it's classier).
Because now that it's legal here, we're sure some of our guests want to score a J
Anyone who wants to wrestle in pajamas
Oliver's favorite slice in the city
Great pizza. No slices, whole pies only. Accepts just cash. Also, there's definitely been at least a baker dozen worth of mob hits happen in the back dining hall.
One of Christie's favorite spots for a late night slice!
Oliver and Christie's favorite neighborhood bagel spot.
There's one slice to get here, and that's the Artichoke pizza. You only need one slide and you'll be set for the day.
SOUP DUMPLINGS!!!! Also, cash only.
Fried Chicken on a buttermilk biscuit sandwich.
Great Caribbean food
One of Christie's favorite neighborhood bars.
Great place for drinks and affordable sushi.
Christie brought Oliver here for his birthday one year and remains the best sushi experience ever. Highly recommend making reservations, order the wine pairing, and sit at the bar.
Great local omakase sushi
Great spot for a NOLA inspired brunch.
For those who like beer
If the decor doesn't win it for you, the Columbian food will.
This is for our friends from London who are coming and may want to stop at this pub located in the Lower East Side and the home for all Liverpool FC supporters that have found their way to NYC. This is specifically for Paul. Hey Paul, here is where you can come watch the greatest SOCCER club in the world play.
So we recognize that a lot of things here are for the grown-ups, so here's something for the kiddos. This fun store has regular shows and perfect for the youths that may be coming to NYC and need something to do. Remember, these are illusions, not tricks. Tricks are what whores do for money.
Are you an obnoxious beer snob that wants an IPA that taste like turpentine with hints of honey, oregano, and Wendy's JBC served with a guy that spends 3 hours to make his beard appear disheveled? Then this is the place from you. Also, McDonald's is right across the street, so that's why Oliver goes there.
Do you like bourbon and are a sophisticated imbiber that appreciates fine crafted spirits and skillfully crafted cocktails created by master mixologists? Then this is the place for you.

See: Other Half Brewing Also has overpriced food trucks.
A rooftop winery with actual grape vines growing on the roof. The perfect place to get white-girl wasted.
Same as Rooftop Reds, but on a dock by the water.
