While you’re in town celebrating with us, we hope you’ll take some time to enjoy one of our favorite places — Dillon Reservoir (Lake Dillon). It’s such a special part of this area. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, or even a pontoon boat from the Dillon Marina or Frisco Bay Marina and spend a few hours out on the water. If you’d rather stay on land, the Dillon Reservoir Recreation Path runs right along the shoreline and is perfect for a scenic walk or bike ride. And if you’re looking for a casual spot to grab a bite or a drink, check out Pug Ryan’s Tiki Bar at the Dillon Marina or The Island Grill at Frisco Bay Marina. Both are right on the water, super laid-back, and perfect for a little lakeside hangout.
We also recommend spending some time in Frisco — it’s one of the cutest little mountain towns and just a short drive away. Frisco has a charming, historic Main Street lined with colorful buildings, local boutiques, cozy coffee shops, and great restaurants. It’s the perfect place to wander for an hour or two — pop into a few shops, grab a coffee, or treat yourself to lunch or dinner with mountain views all around.
There are several beautiful hiking trails in the area for all experience levels, from easy scenic walks to more challenging alpine routes. If you’re looking to explore, apps like AllTrails are a great resource for finding hikes that match your preferred distance, elevation gain, and difficulty.
