We first met on Bumble, chatting about grilled vegetables and the drama on the Bachelorette. Christian was just looking for a friend and Madison was just looking for tacos. What was supposed to be a casual taco dinner date turned into hours of talking. We spent the next few months growing closer, Christian quickly realizing that the best way to spend time with a first year teacher was to show up after school ready to laminate and velcro tiny pieces of paper or rearrange desks for the tenth time.

Christian proposed at our favorite winery on 5/5/2019 in front of both of our families. The day was planned perfectly. Christian had asked for permission to propose while Madison was running her 3rd half-marathon. He went with Karen and Regan to pick out the ring, incorporating their Mema's diamonds from her ring. Then scheduled a reserve tour and tasting at the Williamsburg Winery with both of our families. He kept the secret well... too well... so well that Christian proposed to Madison on 5/4/2019 when he realized she had no idea it was coming. Knowing that Madison doesn't like to be that surprised he decided to let her in on the secret, allowing for time to celebrate together before enjoying the perfectly planned day with our families.
