We love your children, but our wedding will be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
No, transportation will not be provided to our ceremony. The French Quarter is very walkable, so if you are staying close, getting to Saint Mary's will be a short walk. Be sure to wear sensible shoes, or a change of shoes, for wedding activities that involve walking - Christian definitely recommends leaving the stilettos at home ;) If you'd prefer a ride, we'd suggest using the streetcars, pedicabs or Uber/Lyft.
What shouldn't you eat! We've never had a bad meal in New Orleans. Fresh Gulf seafood remains prevalent year-round, so you can't go wrong with any seafood choices. Order Cajun-spiced sausage, known as boudin. Note: Be sure to make reservations in advance as restaurants in the French Quarter and other areas of the city tend to be busy.
Black-Tie Optional. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or suit and tie. For women, a gown or midi dress is appropriate.
In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Our venue has a strict guest limit, and we apologize for any issues this may cause. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!
A cocktail reception is the traditional wedding style of choice in New Orleans. Formatted like a cocktail party, this typically consists of passed hors d'oeuvres, open action stations and buffets that provide for a variety of dishes to be enjoyed in a highly dynamic and social atmosphere. Seating is left open for guests to choose their own seats and tables and move freely about the reception space - there is no formally seated dinner. Rest assured, food and drinks will be flowing steadily and plentifully throughout the evening!
