Charlotte Douglas International (CLT) approximately two hours from Asheville. CLT is an American Airlines hub and has many direct flights.
Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is about 20 minutes outside of downtown Asheville. Though there are not many direct flights into AVL, flying into this airport can save you quite a bit of time if you find a flight.
