Question
Is there a shuttle or ride share to and from the Arboretum?
Answer
Ride share (Uber, Lyft, etc) is an option but there will not be a shuttle. We will have a limited number of Uber vouchers to/from the venue to allow folks to skip the car entirely. We will provide further instructions on voucher use soon. Please inform your driver: Even though the main gate entrance closes at 8:00 PM, ride shares will still enter through the main gate, but through the exit side (you may need to notify your drive of this). The arm at the gatehouse will remain up for access. They will pull up to the Baker Circle.

When Should I Come Into Town?
Answer
This is a great question! Carter and I have attended several weddings in beautiful places where we feel like we have to attend so many events that we aren't able to simply enjoy exploring. We hope that everyone can come and go from Asheville as they please and enjoy doing what YOU need in order to have the most restful weekend. That being said, we also know that we have friends coming from out of town and we definitely want to spend time with you intentionally! Especially if you are flying to NC, for example, feel free to come in on Thursday if you'd like and let us know in advance. We will definitely do our best to plan time together so that we can actually connect during the weekend. We are also planning a low-key gathering sometime on late Friday evening after we eat with our families. Stay tuned for details!

Are my children invited?
Answer
We are inviting children to this event. However, we are not able to accommodate everyone's child. We have limited our "kid" invites to close family and Harbour's closest friends. If your children are invited, we have put their names on your invitations or addressed an invite to your entire family (ex. "The Smith Family") so that it will be clear. We also recognize that many of our friends may want to plan childcare in advance so they can enjoy an adults-only evening! If you are not planning to bring your children, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly.

What is the weather like in Asheville?
Answer
Asheville can be quite warm and humid in the day time, especially in lower areas, but tends to stay a bit cooler than cities like Charlotte and Raleigh. The June average high/low is 82/61 degrees Fahrenheit. Pop-up rain storms are common in the afternoon, especially at higher elevations. If hitting the trail or the Blue Ridge Parkway we suggest bringing a sweater/pullover, as the ridges and mountain tops can be quite chilly!

Where do I get in a good hike?
Answer
There is tons of hiking! If you're in a hurry, find a spot on the Mountains to Sea trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway near town (see our recommended activities). However, if you've got a full day you can venture out to Mount Mitchell or various areas around Pisgah National Forest. Consult All Trails for hiking routes.
