We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

In 2015, Christeven and Katie were both attending San Jose State and part of the collegiate Filipino club Akbayan. They would see each other in passing but never talked to each other until the LED rave. Katie went with her friend and met up with other friends from Akbayan (and one of those people were Christeven). Katie noticed Christeven and they introduced themselves to each other. Katie then asked Christeven to dance, and the rest is history.

After the rave, Christeven and Katie started talking and hanging out. They got to know each other on a deeper level, and realized they both really cared for each other. On August 4, 2015, they went out to dinner and a movie. At the end of the night, he brought her to Twin Peaks in San Francisco, Christeven's favorite viewspot. A little after midnight, he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Christeven started planning the Proposal late 2023. He asked Katie's parents for their permission, and they both said yes. On February 10, 2024, Christeven had their friend Ray take photos of them at Sutro Baths in San Francisco. Katie thought it was only a photoshoot to help Ray with his photography business. At one point, Ray had Christeven and Katie take some photos with their backs against each other. When Katie turned around, Christeven was on his knee.

On August 27, 2024 (after 9 years of being together), Christeven and Katie got civilly married at San Francisco City Hall. They celebrated with only immediate family to share the special moment with them.
