We met in 2023, drawn together by a shared sense of humor, deep curiosity, and an instant connection that felt both familiar and brand new. From the very beginning, everything was simple—easy, natural, and full of joy. Love came fast and felt like it had been there all along, just waiting for us to catch up to it. There were no obstacles to overcome, no dramatic hurdles—just two people finding exactly what they needed, without even realizing they were looking. Blending families can sometimes be complicated, but for us, it was as easy as turning on the blender—smooth, seamless, and maybe a little noisy at times, but full of love, laughter, and the occasional snack break. And while we’re at it… a heartfelt (and slightly mischievous) thank you to our ex-spouses. Without those chapters, we wouldn’t have learned how simple, supportive, and soul-filling love can truly be. So cheers to the past—for making the present this magical. We’re getting married on October 31st—not just because it’s a date to remember, but because we both love Halloween. The spookiness, the darkness, the mischief, the playfulness—it all mirrors the way we love: deeply, honestly, with a little edge and a lot of laughter. And in true commitment to building something new together, we’re also both taking a new name: Sweet. Rich won’t be a Zangrillo anymore, and Liz is saying goodbye to Christensen. We’re becoming the Sweets—not just because it’s Liz’s maiden name, but because it captures the essence of our love: a little unexpected, undeniably heartfelt, and yes—very, very sweet. We can’t wait to celebrate all of it with you.
