Question

What do I wear for the wedding?

Answer

Cowboy Western Gothic Think: black lace, dark red roses, vintage boots, moody lighting, wrought iron, leather + lace, steer skulls, candles—not cobwebs or plastic spiders. Palette: black, dark red, ivory, dusty rose, antique gold, saddle brown. 👗 Women’s Attire Velvet & Lace Western Dress: A flowing dark velvet dress with western-style corset belt, paired with a wide-brimmed black hat and leather boots. This look channels western grandeur with a gothic edge. Classic Black Gothic Dress: Sleek and minimal, with statement jewelry, dark heels or platform boots—perfect for a gothic wedding guest. Accent with subtle western cues like a bolo tie or fringe clutch. 🤵 Men’s Attire Cowboy Package: Think tailored dark jacket, crisp shirt, bolo tie, hat, and rugged boots. Modern Cowboy Casual: Dark denim or tailored black trousers with a western-cut shirt, leather vest or dark blazer, and classic cowboy boots. Add a bolo tie or silver belt buckle for accents. 🧢 Guest Styling Guide Hat & Accessories: Wide-brimmed hats, bolo ties, western belt buckles, or sterling silver accessories. Layering: Dark vests, leather jackets, or tailored coats add western structure and gothic flair. Footwear: Cowboy boots or dark western-styled ankle boots. Jewelry: Gothic pieces—cross pendants, vintage bolo ties, concho belts, steer skull motifs—subtle nods to theme without kitschy elements. ✔️ Tips for Guests Color Palette: Black, deep burgundy, charcoal, saddle brown Fabrics: Velvet, lace, leather, tailored wool blends Mix one bold gothic piece (e.g., lace dress, statement bolo tie) with western basics Avoid: Halloween-specific kitsch—no pumpkins, plastic spiders, orange

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors. Ceremony and reception will be held in the same area.

Question

Where do I stay?

Answer

We understand that many of our guests will be traveling from out of town to join us for our special day. To ensure your comfort, we've arranged room blocks at several nearby hotels. You can find more information on accommodations, including booking codes and special rates, on our website's "TRAVEL" page. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or recommendations!

Question

How do I get to the venue? Will there be transportation provided between the hotels and venue?

Answer

If staying in the Stockyard area- walking to the venue will be easiest. If you are further away and driving, please leave plenty of time to find parking, find the venue, and get situated. Parking can be difficult and since it's a busy holiday leave ample time. If you are arriving via Uber/Lyft- ask to get dropped off at Riscky's BAR-B-Q- it's then straight forward into the building. Transportation details will vary depending on the location of our venue and the preferences of our guests. We're currently exploring options for shuttle services or coordinating rideshare groups for your convenience. More information about transportation arrangements will be shared closer to the wedding date, so please stay tuned for updates on our website.

Question

Which airport DFW or DAL?

Answer

Fort Worth–Dallas area is served by two major airports, so be sure to pick the one that works best for your flight and plans. Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) A large, global airport with five terminals Main hub for American Airlines and served by Delta, United, Spirit, international carriers, and more – ideal for domestic & international travel Bigger terminals mean longer walks and potentially longer TSA lines More flight options overall Dallas Love Field (DAL) Smaller and easier to navigate—a single terminal just ~6 miles from downtown Dallas Dominated by Southwest Airlines—about 95–96 % of flights Also served by Delta and Alaska on a limited scale Typically, faster check-in, shorter security lines, smaller parking fees Our Recommendation: If you’re flying Southwest, go with DAL for convenience and ease. If you’re flying American, United, Delta (especially on international routes) or need broader options, choose DFW. ✅ Quick Tips Double-check your airline before booking. Tell your driver which airport you’re arriving at—DAL and DFW are very different! We hope this helps—safe travels and can’t wait to see you in Fort Worth!

Question

How do I get around Dallas/Fort Worth?

Answer

🚗 Your best bet is by car—either renting one or using rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft. Public transportation is very limited, especially when traveling between the airports, hotel areas, and major tourist attractions like the Stockyards. We recommend checking the Travel tab for more details on airport transfers and local transportation tips. If you have questions or need help arranging something, don’t hesitate to reach out to Rich or Liz—we’re happy to help!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

That depends on how your invitation was addressed. If your children’s names were included, or it was addressed to “The [Last Name] Family,” then yes—your kiddos are invited! If the invitation was addressed to the adults only, then we kindly ask that you make arrangements for a child-free evening. As much as we love your little ones, we’re keeping the guest list limited and simply aren’t able to include everyone. Thank you so much for understanding—and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Answer

🎃 Typical October 31 Conditions🎃 Daytime High: Around 72°F (range averages 70–75°F) Overnight Low: Near 51°F (typically 50–56°F) Precipitation Chance: Roughly 29% (measurable rain about one in three years) Thunderstorms: Occasionally, but snow is virtually unheard of 🌡 What That Means for Your Weekend You can likely expect mild, pleasant autumn weather with highs in the low 70s and evenings around the low 50s. ✅ Tips for Wedding Guests Bring layers: light sweaters, shawls, or jackets for evening comfort.
