I love the beauty of weddings because they remind me that love is a choice we keep making—and that's worth celebrating, especially with these two lovely ladies. I met Christen in high school—me, the punk rock kid; her, the sunshine drill team girl. We clicked but never exchanged numbers. Fate stepped in at Texas Tech, where a late-night Denny’s run with a mutual friend brought us back together. Born a day apart in the same hospital, we've been more like sisters than friends ever since. She’s my Konstantine, and I’m her Leighbee—soul sisters for life.

Hey Superstars! I am Jakeya (Jay-Key-Ya), the Maid of Honor — aka Chris’s Husband (But With Less Perks). I have the absolute honor (pun intended) of standing alongside Chris on one of the most important days of her life — as her Maid of Honor. Chris and I have been rocking with each other for nearly a decade — that’s ten years of laughs, venting sessions, spontaneous adventures, like those badass road trips, late-night heart-to-hearts, and growing into the women we are today. Over the years, I’ve been her sounding board, her hype woman, and now, I proudly take on the role of “you’re the most beautiful bride” commentator 😁, as she steps into this new chapter of love. Being her Maid of Honor isn’t just about holding her bouquet and adjusting her dress — it’s about being present to pick up the loose ends, keep the nerves down, and (let’s be real) remind her that this is really happening….. she’s marrying someone who genuinely loves her, respects her, and yes… will now be responsible for taking out the trash. Chris, I’ve watched you bloom, fall, get back up, and now walk into a love that’s soft, strong, and true. I’m so proud of you, I love you deeply, and I can’t wait to celebrate the beautiful experience of this wedding and the even more beautiful marriage ahead. Let’s do this!

I can’t imagine my life without Adrianna Perry! For the past 12 years, she’s been the calm to the storm of my crazy! Who would’ve thought back in 2013, when a complete stranger offered to help me in my new role at MacArthur High School, that we’d form such a beautiful and enduring friendship? The sister that AP has become to me is something I lean on every day—she’s truly an irreplaceable part of me. I’m beyond grateful for her, and words can’t fully express the joy I feel knowing she’s found her soulmate in Chris. Being a part of this incredible journey with them is a privilege I will cherish forever.

Hey! I’m Sydney, the Celebrant in charge of marrying these two wonderfully beautiful inside-and-out souls! I seriously can’t wait! When I’m not marrying personal friends of mine, you’ll find me doing the following: hanging out with my wife while smoking or grilling something while yelling at our four dogs, pretty much sums it up!
