If we really had to nail it down, this is probably our favorite brewery in the area. Grist House has an amazing atmosphere both inside and outside, a variety of beers - which are all amazing, and it is dog friendly.
Cindys! Christa loves this place. The beers, the food, and the patio. 10/10.
A new-ish brewery in the neighborhood, we were out and about and accidentally showed up to their opening night - we had a great time and have been back several times since then. The beer changes frequently, but the IPAs are always solid.
When we need to get out for a beer, this is our go to. Just down the hill from our house makes it super convenient. Not to mention the staff is great, beer is good, and again, dog friendly. They often have food trucks too!
We were introduced to Mike's Beer Bar by our two very good friends, Katie and Lauren, and it is our go-to no matter what kind of day it is. Good? Bad? Hot? Cold? Mike's is the answer. Mike's has over 500 options for beers, but don't bat an eye at you when you order a Bud Light. Their food is incredible too! Not to mention, it is right across the street from your hotel...
Four restaurants in one place + a full bar + right next to our wedding venue -- does it get any better than that? Didn't think so.
We LOVE the Strip District for a number of reasons. It is home to a large assortment of international grocery stores and retailers, boutique shops, independent merchants, and several great restaurants.

Our neighborhood coffee shop -- great coffee and hand pies.
A breakfast staple. Get the Pittsburgh hash, hotcakes, and potatoes - it is a lot, but you won't regret it.
As seen on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives another PGH breakfast staple with a very past paced environment - but excellent food.
A famous sandwich place, known for putting slaw and fries between the bread. A must try.
