FAQs

The Wedding Website of Christa Rahl and Josh Jones
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are hoping for colorful cocktail attire! You can wear any color that isn't white. We have our wedding party in royal blue and our flowers will scream spring (spoiler!). Christa is VERY excited to be the only one in white. As a rule, please abide by "if you have to ask, it's too light." We are excited to give you a reason to dress up! Here is a link to a Pinterest board of how we define cocktail attire- https://go.unl.edu/pinterest

Question

If I'm coming from out of town, where should I stay?

Answer

We are so honored that you are making the trip to be a part of our special day! We have a relationship with the Hilton right across from our reception. We ask that you prioritize that hotel so we are able to utilize their shuttle service to and from the reception. There are further details and links in the Travel section of our website!

Question

How do I know if I have a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation/RSVP. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you and/or "guest" will be listed on your online RSVP.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

There might be one or two special moments for you to take photos. Otherwise, please leave it to the professionals so you are in the photos, not your phone. However, during the cocktail hour and reception, we can't wait to see our day through your eyes. Please share your photos of April 11, 2026 with the bride and groom or use the hashtag #JonesingForChrista

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, due to space capacity, only children included in the RSVP are invited. Children are included when the invitation says "and family." We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy your night off!

Question

What can I do if my invited child is fussy during the ceremony?

Answer

We are so glad you are being proactive! Unfortunately, you cannot see through the glass in the nursing mother's room in the church. Because of this, we ask that you sit near the back if you have a young one so you can dip out and watch from the lobby windows.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

We know people are wondering, so we're being open about this! We will have wine and beer provided along with a signature Josh and Christa drink. The rest will be a cash bar. Party on and make sure you have a safe ride home!

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

Yes! We will have a buffet-style meal at the reception. Please ensure you list your allergies on the RSVP so we can make sure your belly is full!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel?

Answer

To be honest, this depends on if we have enough guests use our hotel block. We are hoping to have a free shuttle for guests to and from the reception. We will not have a shuttle to the ceremony.

Question

There's a gap between the ceremony and the reception. What should I do?

Answer

Christa and Josh will be off taking in being newlyweds and taking photos with the bridal party before cocktail hour. There are two breweries right next door to the church if you would like to catch up with friends and family over a drink! Otherwise, you are welcome to take a break and enjoy (what we're hoping will be!) a beautiful Spring day in Papio!

Question

Do I need to budget for a dollar dance?

Answer

We have decided against this tradition!

Question
