Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation
Roughly a 25 minute drive from The Detroit Marriott Livonia (the main hotel), this is a neat exhibit of historic American innovation mainly in the automotive and aerospace industries. Greenfield Village is also within walking distance of the Henry Ford Museum, and it consists of over 80 acres of walkable historic displays of many aspects of American history. A good, family-friendly suggestion for our out-of-town guests who are looking to kill some extra time! Museum and village package tickets range from $40-$60 per person, and individual tickets for either the museum or the village range from $30-$40 per person. Parking is $9.
Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum
Located just under 25 minutes away by car from The Detroit Marriott Livonia (the main hotel), these botanical gardens and arboretum feature 11 outdoor gardens, 1 indoor conservatory, and almost 3 miles of walking trails. Admission is free.
Detroit Zoo
Roughly a 25 minute drive from The Detroit Marriott Livonia (the main hotel), the Detroit Zoo features a large variety of animals from many different biomes. Tickets range from $14-$27 per person. Parking is $8.
