When should I buy plane tickets?
Answer
Please buy them as soon as you can as prices go up closer to our wedding date. You must fly into La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. We highly suggest trying to come in on Thursday or Friday morning so you can enjoy Antigua Guatemala or any other tour you would like to take. ―

Is there a shuttle to and from the Airport?

Yes, please click our Travel & Stay tab for more information. We recommend you use the Adrenalina Tours private shuttle service to travel from the airport in Guatemala City to Antigua and on your trip back. The trip takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours on weekends and 2-3 hours on working days (please consider the traffic in Guatemala City). ―

Hotel recommendations can be found under Travel & Stay tab on our page. There are multiple hotels in Antigua Guatemala for every budget and taste. Online booking platforms also work well in Guatemala. We recommend you reserve a place close to the central park or our wedding venue. ―

Can I bring my kid?

Good question, unfortunately we have decided to have the party as a kid free event. However, please do let us know if you need support for the night as we understand you might be travelling with little ones. They are welcome to the ceremony.

We recommend to exchange your dollars in Banks in Antigua Guatemala or in the Currency-exchange office at the airport. · ATMs are available in most of the hotels or all over Antigua Guatemala. · Credit cards are accepted in hotels and restaurants. · The Currency may vary by the time of your visit but approximately is: Quetzal (Q) Q8.00 = US$1 Q5.25 = 1AUD Some places accept dollars cash but you may get a better deal by paying in quetzals. ―

Guatemala is called the land of the eternal spring, meaning there's good weather most of the year. June is a great month to visit Guatemala, the climate is comfortable and the temperature normally varies between 16°C to 25°C (60°F to 77°F). It cools down in the night, so bring a light jacket. ―

The best way to get to feel Antigua's culture, art and history is by foot. We recommend that you pack comfortable shoes to walk Antigua's cobblestone streets like a local. For non walkable destinations you're good to use Uber or three wheel taxis, also known as “Tuc Tuc”. ―
