A Few of our Favorite (Waco) Things…
Baylor University
Visit the place we first met! Some places of note- - Baylor Science Building (where we spent many hours of study dates together) - Earle Hall (where we lived for most of our four years and worked as RAs together) - Armstrong Browning Library and the nearby gardens (one of the most BEAUTIFUL places on campus!)
Common Grounds Waco
A Baylor staple and the place we grabbed coffee before Josh popped the question! The "No Bull" is a favorite drink there :)
Alpha Omega Grill & Bakery
We LOVE Alpha Omega!! Unsurprisingly, Chrissy's go to is the chickpea gyro while Josh loves the chicken gyro. Either way, feta fries are a must! (Photo: At Alpha Omega in 2017)
Cameron Park Zoo
The best (and only!) zoo around. Cameron Park is one of our favorite places to go (when it's not allergy season). Enjoy our very first picture together, taken at Cameron Park 3 weeks after we started dating!
Magnolia Market at the Silos
You can’t come to Waco without stopping by the Silos! Spend time in their open green space, get a cupcake from the bakery, grab some coffee from Magnolia Press, or get in line (early!) for breakfast at Magnolia Table. Can you believe Chip and Jo decorated the Silos just for Chrissy and Josh?? They actually do this every Valentine’s Day! We think C + J sounds pretty good together too 😉
Homestead Heritage
If you have some extra time in Waco, Homestead Heritage is a MUST. We love their delicious and fresh food, and love walking around the homestead to see their mill, wood working shop, and other shops! This picture was taken the day before our first date and features our #1 wingwoman Sabrina. Despite Josh’s face being cut out of the picture, Chrissy was overjoyed to go to Homestead that day with two of her best friends.
Cafe Cappuccino
One of our favorite breakfast places in Waco! A Waco classic. Chrissy and Josh went on our first date on Saturday, and Sabrina and Chrissy celebrated at Cafe Capp the next morning! It was a dream weekend for Chrissy.
Czech-American Restaurant
Enjoy the place we had our first date! Unfortunately, the only picture we have from our first date is this sausage that Chrissy ordered (see “Our Story” for more info.) If you go, send us a picture (preferably with your faces in it)!
Pivovar
Have delicious Czech food and drinks at the place we had dinner right after we got engaged! We learned our lesson from our first date and took a picture together this time.
