FAQs

Question

I don't see a registry. How do I know what gift to get the newlyweds?

Answer

Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift; all that we are expecting is you! However, for those who would like to contribute cash to our rainy day fund, a box will be available at the venue for envelopes.

Question

What is the dress code for the event?

Answer

Indian wedding/celebration wear is highly encouraged, however; it is not required. The bride and groom will be in traditional Indian wedding clothing and would love to see all of our guests in beautiful and colorful attire as well. Please avoid white and shades of white (e.g., white, cream, beige, off-white, etc.). For ladies, please search for items such as "saris", "lengha choli", or "salwar kameez suit". For men, please search for "kurta suit" or "sherwani suit". Please visit the following Pinterest Board for inspiration: https://www.pinterest.com/cpatel0729/indian-wedding-attire-ideas/ There are many Etsy shops that will make garments specifically to your measurements. For the safety of your transaction, please be sure to read the shop's reviews and look for high star ratings prior to purchasing. You may also purchase ready-to-wear items from sites such as Amazon as well. Note: the Etsy shop will typically provide you with all the measurements that are needed for your custom-made outfit.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

An open bar will be available for our 21+ guests to enjoy. The bartenders will be checking ID for the safety and security of all involved. Water, soda, and juice will also be available.

Question

May I bring someone who was not invited or did not receive an invitation?

Answer

Due to the limited space at the venue, only those who have received an invitation will be permitted to attend. If your invitation did not include a Plus 1 or only specifically named the family members invited, please do not bring additional guests. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that guests begin arriving no earlier than 5pm and be seated by 5:20pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm.

Question

Can I photograph or record the ceremony with my own device?

Answer

The bride and groom have hired professional photographers and videographers and have asked that guests keep their personal devices put away during the ceremony.

Question

Can I post and tag photos of the bride and groom to social media?

Answer

The bride and groom would like the opportunity to post photos of themselves to their social media accounts prior to guests posting on theirs. Of course, guests may post pictures and photos of themselves to their social media during the event!

Question
