God's Plan

William and Chrissie met the old fashioned way... via an online dating website! Both had not dated or been in relationships for quite some time and for some reason, past relationships just didn't work out. After many years of being single, the two decided to try their luck at online dating one more time. And boy, are they sure glad they did! William first "liked" Chrissie's profile. Chrissie took a look at William's and instantly knew this was a special man! She messaged him first on October 30, 2021 and he responded almost immediately. The two messaged back and forth a bit that day and the next and then exchanged phone numbers. After texting back and forth for a few days, Chrissie asked William if she could call him and they had their first conversation on November 7, 2021. The two were texting the next day (November 8th) and Chrissie decided to take a leap of faith and ask William out to lunch that day. After what felt like an eternity, William replied and suggested a place to go. Those were a long few seconds waiting for an answer! They met at King Gyro in Glendale. William was already there when Chrissie arrived, both nervous and full of butterflies! So much so, neither of them barely ate any of their food! The food, the conversation, and the company were great. It is safe to say both knew they liked the other person a lot and just thought the other was so special. They met up and talked more over the course of the next couple of weeks and on November 22, 2021, William and Chrissie made it "official"! The pair met each other's families and quickly became such a big part of each other's lives. Over the course of the relationship, God has blessed the pair with happiness and love. They both love Indian food, Mexican food, and burgers. They love staying in watching their favorite programs, or playing games. They enjoy going to church together and hosting and attending family dinners. Chrissie loves to cook and feed William and he does not mind one bit! The couple has also seen their share of trials and sadness with health issues, however; having faith in God was all they needed to weather those storms. Chrissie and William talked about marriage and even looked at rings together, but unbeknownst to Chrissie, William already had a plan in place. The initial plan to propose was during the couple's trip to Italy for William's nephew's and fiancée’s wedding. Unfortunately, Chrissie ended up getting sick the second day of the trip and William soon followed. An Italian engagement just was not in the cards for these two! William decided to wait until the two were back home and recovered from their sickness to propose. He decided to do it at their favorite place on one of their favorite days: at home on the patio on November 8, 2023 (exactly two years after their first date). William arranged for take-out from King Gyro and made the moment so incredibly special for the two of them. Chrissie had a feeling the proposal was coming, but was still so surprised and overjoyed when it happened. William was the man she had been praying for. God had this plan in place their whole lives. The two just had to wait patiently to receive their blessings in one another. And they are so thankful they did! With God's Grace, the loving couple will be married November 22, 2024.
