We’re getting married!

It was the day after my first Mother’s Day and Delilah had just returned home. I was sitting on the couch, feeding Hayden, and Delilah came running up to me with her hands behind her back. She took turns showing me each hand and saying, “This hand? Or this hand? Or this hand?”. Before I could choose, she held out her little hand and gave me a small white box. “Did you get me a present? What is it?” I asked. Delilah just giggled and climbed onto the couch with me. “Let’s open it together”, I said. I opened the box and on top was a folded note. “Oh, a note! What’s it say?” I asked Delilah as she continued to giggle and smile. I unfolded the note, and in scratchy 3-year old handwriting it said “Will you marry my Daddy?”. I looked up and saw Bradley, holding back tears and I asked him “are you serious?” and immediately started to cry which prompted Brad to begin crying too. After gathering myself, I looked at Delilah and said “of course I will marry your Daddy!”
