Everyone's safety and convenience are a top priority for us. Maysara Winery is located about 20 minutes from downtown McMinnville. We are providing bus transportation to and from the wedding. There will be a yellow school bus picking up from both the Atticus Hotel (walking distance for anyone staying in and around downtown) and Comfort Inn, respectively. *Please be at the pickup spots by 2:30/2:45, the buses will leave at 3:00pm* Each bus will load at 10pm to leave the winery, please make sure you're on the bus going to your destination. *Maysara will be closed and the gate to the property locked on Sunday, so leaving your car overnight is no longer an option* Ubers are not readily available in the area, though you may be able to schedule one in advance. Taxi and private car services may be arranged in advance.
We want our wedding to be safe, fun, and welcoming for everyone! We do have some guests with high-risk factors; therefore, we respectfully ask that all guests get a Covid-19 test shortly before the wedding. Rapid antigen tests are totally fine.
The ceremony is intended to be outside on the lawn, but plan B will be moved inside the winery, where the reception is planned. Keep in mind that the winery is kept cool by design and the large arch doors will be open! So keep an eye on the forecast, and plan for a chilly evening regardless. A jacket, some dancing and drinks should be just fine. ;)
In true pivot form, we are livestreaming the ceremony for those who can't make it in person! Have a watch party, get dressed up, and open a damn good bottle of wine for us. You can tune in via Zoom, here: Join Zoom Meeting https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86250592321?pwd=QmwwWEdJV0Q5dTY2UWpWMEZ5MkFKQT09 Meeting ID: 862 5059 2321 Passcode: 050722
As much as we love your families, we are keeping the wedding ceremony and reception adult-only, aside from our own nieces, who are involved in the ceremony.
1. Make a reservation. If you find yourself with extra time and can squeeze one in, call ahead to see if they can fit you in; many will! 2. Purchase wine if you can. If you enjoyed your tasting, the best way to support a winery is by purchasing their wine or becoming a club member. 3. The best ways to get purchased wine home: a) have them ship it to your home; b) these Wine Hero packs available online are always in our suitcases for extra bottles! https://www.amazon.com/WineHero-Reusable-Protector-Airplane-Accessory/dp/B06Y2LQX6F
We would certainly recommend one! The Willamette Valley has so much to offer, from their famous wineries, to the coast, and everywhere in between. There aren't as many rideshare options as in cities, so having your own car is ideal.
The drive from Portland to McMinnville can take anywhere between 1-2 hours, depending on traffic. The routes are often 2 lanes at many points, so an accident or construction can add significant travel time. Because of this, we encourage everyone to stay in the McMinnville area and enjoy the beautiful Willamette Valley!
