Getting to Tissington
We are getting married in Tissington, a small village in the Peak District near to where Kate’s family has lived for around 15 years. The nearest town is Ashbourne and the nearest city is Derby. Our wedding ceremony and reception will both be held in the village of Tissington itself. Sir Richard Fitzherbert, the owner of Tissington Hall, will open up a field on the day to be used as a car park, and cars can be left overnight. We recommend driving to Tissington (50 mins from junction 24 of the M1), but if you are taking public transport, the closest stations are Matlock (30 minute drive) or Derby (40 minutes).
